The ZIG/ZAG Project brings together people, communities, and organisations to imagine, co-create, and advocate for a more neuro-inclusive society in Gloucestershire and beyond. As part of this, we create and collect zines made by and for people who think differently, on subjects including neurodiversity, disability, madness/mental illness, and identity.
(Zines are independently produced, low/no-cost DIY publications. They can be about any subject and created in any style, typically within a format that allows fast, simple reproduction and small-scale distribution. They may be informative, creative, and/or subversive, and are often used to record and share ideas and stories from the margins.)
Throughout March 2024, we’re bringing our pop-up zine library to the Forest of Dean and running weekly zine-making workshops at Coleford Library on the 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd March. Visitors will be able to explore the zine collection and have a go at making their own zines (all materials will be provided).
This is a relaxed event. This venue is wheelchair accessible and has a wheelchair accessible toilet. This event is seated.
FREE entry. No booking required, just turn up!
Please note: Some of the Zines in the collection deal with adult themes such as sex, self-harm and sadness/distress.
