FOD Fringe 2024
In March 2024, the first FOD Fringe festival took place across the Forest of Dean.
It was a month of performances, exhibitions, experiences, walks, talks, gatherings and happenings - created and curated by and for the people of the Forest of Dean.
What is a Fringe festival?
A Fringe festival is an arts festival featuring unusual, alternative, or experimental performances and exhibitions. The events are usually self-produced by the artists and performers involved - making Fringe festivals a great way for new and up-and-coming work to be seen, heard, and enjoyed by a local audience!
The FOD Fringe was be made up of performances and exhibitions by Forest-based artists, musicians, and creators alongside some visiting acts. It was a real showcase and celebration of the brilliant, diverse, weird, and wonderful creative scene here in the Forest of Dean and a chance to see professional shows from further afield.
Wyldwood also commissioned a range of local artists and community groups to develop their ideas for inclusion in the Fringe programme.
