Wyldwood Arts teamed up with Borderlands and the Bristol Refugee Festival 2018 to produce a music and performance event to launch the month long festivities. 

On 1st June 2018, Wyldwood held the Bristol Refugee Festival's Opening Night at Colston Hall. The event was an evening of musical performances, poetry and spoken word performance and a film screening.

Musicians included: Brook Tate and friends, Moussa Kouyate (Kora player), Abdullah and Mark, Nabra Oud Duo, and Servo.
